NANJING - After a pulsating contest, the first of two matches of the 2019 International Champions Cup in China ended with a Juventus penalty shoot-out victory thanks to the heroics of club legend Gianluigi Buffon.
This match certainly didn’t disappoint fans, as both clubs experimented with new line-ups with exciting results. During the first half Juventus, went a goal behind after Matthjis De Ligt scored an own goal. It was his first game starting for Juventus. In the second half Juventus equalised with a Ronaldo free kick. Both teams were level after 90 minutes. Buffon made three saves during the penalty shoot-out to inspire Juventus to victory.
