Manchester United youngsters rally against resilient Hong Kong side

Manchester United staged a thrilling comeback to secure a 3-1 victory over Hong Kong, China in the Defining Education Challenge Cup on May 30, 2025. The match, played at the Hong Kong Stadium, saw the home side take an early lead before United’s young talents turned the game around in the second half.



Hong Kong surprised the visitors with a well-worked goal in the 19th minute, as Juninho capitalized on a rare attacking opportunity to put his team ahead. Despite United’s dominance in possession and multiple chances, including a Fernandes free-kick and Hojlund’s early attempts, the Reds struggled to break through Hong Kong’s resilient defense.
