Opening Leg Of Manchester United Asia Tour Ends In Draw

JAPAN - 18th July 2007: J-League champions and host Urawa Red Diamonds exhibition match with Manchester United ended in a 2-2 draw in Saitama.

Goals from Darren Fletcher and Christiano Ronaldo put United firmly in the driving seat after the home team led through a 25th minute Hideki Uchidate goal.

United were looking at the prospect of an opening win to kick off their Asia Tour, when former Feyenoord midfielder Shinji Ono went and spoilt the Red Devils celebrations with the Japanese international scoring the vital face saving equalizer.

Manchester United next stop sees them fly off to Seoul, Korea where they will take on FC Seoul on Friday, 20th July before leaving for their next destination in Macao where United meet Shenzhen Xiangxue Eisiti on the 23rd July before rounding off the tour with a match against Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Football Club on 27th July at the Guangdong Olympic Stadium.
