HONG KONG - Auckland City arrived for the NIKE Lunar New Year Cup. Organised by Kitchee SC and ProEvents is the appointed Event Management Partner of the tournament, Auckland City will take on FC Seoul at 15:00 while Kitchee will be up against Muangthong United at 17:30 on 28th January - first day of the Lunar New Year and winners of both matches will proceed to meet in the Final on 31st January while the other two teams will also compete for the 3rd/4th placing match on the same day.
Auckland City FC was found in 2004, based in Auckland, New Zealand's largest city. The club competes in the ASB Premiership (formerly known as the New Zealand Football Championship). Auckland City FC has won the regular season seven times, and the Grand Final six times. Auckland City FC represented the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) in the OFC Champions League, which Auckland City FC won most recently in 2016 for the eight time.
