The Singha Chelsea FC Celebration Match

THAILAND - Thailand will be the first country to welcome Chelsea FC after they won the 2014-2015 English Premier League title. The Blues will play against the Thailand All-Stars team at Rajamangala stadium on Saturday, May 30th, 2015 at 6pm local time.

May 7th, 2015 at Shangri La Hotel, Bangkok: English Premier League champions Chelsea FC will return to Bangkok to take part in the Singha Chelsea FC Celebration Match.

Chelsea Football Club is delighted to join forces with its long-term partner Singha Corporation Co.,Ltd, the title sponsor of the match, alongside match promoters I-Sport Co.,Ltd.(I-Sport) and Pro Events, to confirm its appearance in Thailand once more. The Blues will be led by Jose Mourinho and will play against the Thailand All-Stars team led by the fan-favorite head coach, Kietisuk Senamuang “Zico” and many of Thailand’s star players. The match will be held on Saturday, May 30th, 2015 at 6pm at the 49,000-capacity Rajamangala Stadium.

I-Sport Co.,Ltd., an all-round sports contents provider established jointly by Siam Sport Syndicate PLC and Samart Multimedia Co.,Ltd., is cooperating with ProEvents Overseas Ltd., the Football Association of Thailand under Patronage of His Majesty the King (FAT), and Singha Corporation Co.,Ltd. to organize this special football match, The Singha Chelsea FC Celebration Match, Thailand 2015, to celebrate His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s 88th birthday anniversary and to celebrate the 60th birthday anniversary of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

Other sponsors include Sport Authority of Thailand, Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited and Shangri La Hotel, Bangkok.

Chelsea first played in Bangkok back in 1997, when they beat the Thai national team 1-0 just days after lifting the FA Cup. Under the ownership of Mr. Roman Abramovich, Chelsea has played in Bangkok in 2011 and 2013 and this upcoming match with be the second visit of the manager, Jose Mourinho.

This trip can be considered as the celebration trip with Chelsea FC’s fans after the club won the Barclays Premier League title and the Capital One Cup this year. Thailand is privileged to become the first country to host Chelsea FC of this post season celebration tour. Thailand All-Stars team coach Kietisuk Senamuang “Zico”, a Thai national team legend, will sure be selecting all the best available Thai star players for this match with the view to encourage the local Thai football fans to come and support this exciting match.
