Fred The Red Handed Out Free Training Passes to Lucky Fans

MALAYSIA - Manchester United fans who visited the Rock Corner at The Gardens, Mid Valley City, to buy tickets to watch the match in KL were thrilled to see Fred the Red, the Team's official mascot, in the flesh. Fred, who didn't look a least bit jet-lagged, despite a 13-hour flight from London, was in town to hand out free training passes to those who made their ticket purchases yesterday.

Not wanting to be disappointed, several fans appeared at the store earlier, and booked their places in the queue. Fred, who made a presence around lunch time, got fans excited with his antics, and many of them took the opportunity to take photographs with the Red Devils' famous mascot.

Fred, who plans to brave the scorching Malaysian weather, is expected to make several more Red Hot appearances in Kuala Lumpur. Fred's visit to Kuala Lumpur is one of the many activities lined up to promote the Red Devils match here.

Promoted by ProEvents and organised by the Football Association of Malaysia, the match will be held at Bukit Jalil National Stadium at 5:30 pm on July 18 (Saturday).

Tickets for the match are priced at RM58, RM68, and there are limited RM98 & VIP tickets at RM308 also available. Public ticket sales began on June 1. Fans can buy their tickets from all Ticketpro sales outlets nationwide by calling up Ticketpro's hotline or booking online through their website at Student tickets, priced at RM28 for the young fans, are also available.
