FC Seoul to face the World Champions Manchester United on July 24

Seoul, Korea - England Premier League team Manchester United will be bringing their full squad including Ji-Sung Park for their upcoming Asia Tour this summer. Official Tour Organizer, ProEvents together with their appointed local promoter of the match, Mast Entertainment, announced that Manchester United will play against FC Seoul in Sang Am World Cup Stadium on July 24th, at 8 P.M.

Earlier this year, Manchester United announced their plan for the Asia Tour in a press conference held in Macao. The pre-season tour will consist of four matches to be played in China, Indonesia and Malaysia and to the delight of many MU fans in Korea, the tour include a stop in Seoul, Korea. This will be a return match with FC Seoul where the last game was on 2007 and for sure, it would surely be a fantastic match with FC Seoul seeking their revenge against the World Champions.

Manchester United is widely popular throughout the world and especially so in Korea where it has a tremendous fan base. Since the visit in 2007, the number of fans in Korea continues to grow and the club continues to develop their relationship with Korea.

Said Paul J. Kam, Chairman of ProEvents, the tour¡¦s sole and exclusive organizer: "The Club has a fond memory of the fantastic reception during the last visit in 2007. Since then, the Club has developed a strong relationship with Korea and we are delighted for the club¡¦s decision to bring the team to Seoul again. I am sure that many football fans will welcome this great opportunity to see The World Champions in action here."

Local Promoter, Mr. Yong K. Kim, CEO of Mast Entertainment added: "The last visit of Manchester United in 2007 saw the club brought their full strength squad and displayed a fantastic performance in front of a full house crowd. However, it was disappointed that JS Park was not able to play the match due injury. With this second visit, we are looking forward to see JS Park in action as a Manchester United player for the first time in Korea along with his world famous team mates such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs, Vidic and Rio Ferdinand etc."

Manchester United Chief Executive David Gill commented, "We are delighted to be coming back to Asia for our summer tour. The passion and excitement of the games has to be experienced to be believed. The tour is great preparation for the new season, a chance to engage with our commercial partners and for us to meet the local communities through our work with the MU Foundation."

Senol Gunes, Head Coach of FC Seoul also expressed that he is very excited about this return match with Manchester United and he will try to beat them this time.

The online public ticket sale for match with Manchester United and FC Seoul will commence on May 14th (Thursday) through online ticket website Interpark.
